Bluefin Blowout.
The Bluefin Blowout, benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association, is New England’s premier giant bluefin tuna tournament. Showcased on the National Geographic’s hit series Wicked Tuna the Bluefin Blowout draws some of the best giant tuna fishermen on the East Coast competing in two long days of fishing to take home over cash, jackpots, and prizes along with the coveted Bluefin Blowout Trophy, all while benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association.
Preparation.
The Bluefin Blowout presents a significant challenge for our small team. This necessitates us to employ creativity in securing sponsorships, craft the visual identity for this year's social media presence, and handle numerous other tasks. Thorough preparation is essential to ensure that this event remains the premier and most prominent Bluefin Tournament in the Northeast.
Content Meets Demand.
The Bluefin Blowout is action packed to say the least. In 2023 I was in charge of taking photos, reels, YouTube content, and graphics, all on site and all during real time while posting to social media. Every boat that came in needed photos, videos, graphics of unpacking, weighing, team photos, and exit. This process needed to be fluent as 85 boats weighed in.
